Budapest, my home town.
What do you do as a freelancer? What is your profession?
I work in different fields: international sales, tourist guide and I have my own backpack brand @astuclothing.
When and how did you start freelancing? Where did you promote yourself?
I started in 2019, after quitting my regular job and started travelling in South-East Asia. An old client of mine called me to work for him but I insisted on working remotely and comission based, ever since I’m freelancing.
How did you find your current clients and projects?
Old job contacts, via friends, volunteer programs like FreedomX Festival or Startup Safari Festival.
What is your favourite thing about freelancing?
I control my time and can decide whenever and whereever to work.
What is your biggest challenge in freelancing?
Risks of non stable income.
Where do you stand now with your freelance journey?
Im still just learning how to do it right. I want more projects and clients to get financial stability as for now my incomes are rather low. I would like to expand my network as well. Currently I have two main projects and some ad-hoc ones every now and then.
What would you do differently if you would start freelancing today?
I would focus on networking more.
