If someone were to write a book about your freelance life / career, what would it be titled?

How to survive in corporates and still be a human.

What is your city as Freelance Business Community Ambassador? Why did you choose this location (why do you live there)?

Prague, I chose it because in Ostrava and Brno cities there were no opportunities for growth and I wanted to stay close to my family (not to move permanently abroad).

What do you do as a freelancer? What is your profession?

Business consultant, crisis manager, analyst, trainer, communication expert.

When and how did you start freelancing? Where did you promote yourself? What was your first project / client?

1st April 2021 by ending the employee status and signing up for freelance license in Prague. My long-term client was Zásilkovna logistics company.

How did you find your current clients and projects?

I made a big base of contacts in the past and it’s easier for me that people know what I’m capable of so they ask me to join a project. But if I don’t know somebody and I like a project or initiative, I would directly contact the CEO and ask them if there is anything they needed help with.

What is your favourite thing about freelancing?

Freedom, deciding what projects to work on, no fix 8 hours in the office all day long, ability to work on many projects.

What is your biggest challenge in freelancing?

Finding new clients who don’t know me, understanding the law stuff.

Where do you stand now with your freelance journey?

I have one long term client Zásilkovna and another client is Cardiff academy where I have a role of a “lector” for the subject Crisis management. I intend to learn full stack development so I can create a project with my wife (graphical designer) to create a website and marketing materials for startups as a starting point on their journey so they could afford it.

What would you do differently if you would start freelancing today?

Nothing, the journey is very specific and if I went a different path, I don’t know where it would lead me so I’m happy with how things are working now.
